Where art saves animals, materials save environment and fashion saves craftsmanship, marking our promise to save the Artisans, save the Animals & save the Environment.
The collection is divided into two stories- the modern range introducing Malai coconut leather and Cork as the key materials with a sense of elegance and minimal look; and the traditional range wherein the collection made in Cork, has been hand painted by a female artisan with animal motifs in traditional Madhubani folk art, giving a more Indian look. This collection is our efforts to bring back the aura of our traditional Indian art forms while creating animal awareness and introducing plant based materials that make perfect alternate to leather, making this refreshing range an all round for sustainability. 100% cruelty free, environment friendly and compostable.
About The Material:
Malai Coconut Leather: Malai is newly developed material made from entirely organic and sustainable bacterial cellulose found in coconut water (a by- product from the harvesting of coconut flesh) which is then collected and refined until it becomes the finished material. Malai being a perfect alternate to leather, is environment friendly and a completely vegan product. A product made from Malai will last many years if properly cared for, and when disposed will naturally break down.
Cork: Natural Cork material is made from shavings directly from the cork oak tree. A biodegradable, renewable and recyclable material. It doesn't produce waste when being extracted or processed, nor does it contribute to air or water pollution. Extreme Lightness, Water Resistance, Wear & Tear Resistance, Durable & Uniqueness.
About The Art and its relevance with Animal awareness
Madhubani Folk Art: Madhubani painting is one of the many famous Indian art forms practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar and Nepal. Folk arts of India and their affinity with the wild goes way back. Our Indian folk preservation have long been the recordings of wild existence in the region and how their presence have had several important meanings to the communities drawing them. Madhubani is one such traditional folk art which is often characterised by animal and plant motifs, freely hand painted by the artisans of the region.
Indian culture has always had a high place for the animal kind and that clearly reflects in our art forms.
